About Quick-Step Timber

Quick-Step timber is built to last a lifetime; from muddy shoes and paws in the hallway to splashy bath times and wine stains on the kitchen floor. Quick-Step's Timber ranges epitomise innovation, technology, and quality.

Watertight Hydroseal: Quick-Step is the first in the world to develop an engineered timber floor which can safely be installed in bathrooms, laundries, and kitchens. The Hydroseal coating on all 4 edges stops all water from leaking through and causing damage. Available on Faro & Amato range.

Surface & Edge Protect+: The moisture-repellent Surface & Edge Protect+ technology can help to prevent mud, spilled foods and other dirt from getting stuck in the joints and texture of the wood. This helps to keep your floor looking as good as new.

Uniclic: Quick-Step is the inventor of the Uniclic installation system, today the standard click-to-install system. Meaning you get a super fast and worry free installation.

Quick-Step timber has a grading system which divides the oak floors into different categories: Nature, Marquant and Vibrant.

  • Nature - Natural colour variation & small knots for a subtle look
  • Marquant - Lively colour variation with more pronounced knots for a rustic look
  • Vibrant - Lively colour variation with big knots and cracks for a floor full of character.

Engineered timber flooring offers several advantages over solid timber. It requires minimal, if any, acclimatisation and is pre-finished, eliminating the need for onsite sanding and coating. This significantly reduces the time, mess, and labor involved in installation. It can be laid over existing wood and concrete subfloors, either glued or floated over underlay, making it versatile and easy to install. It's ready to live on and enjoy immediately after installation.

Quick-Step Sustainability
Focus on doing better

Quality, innovation, and sustainability drive Quick-step's leadership in the flooring industry.

A second life for wood:
To maintain sustainability, Quick-Step uses only recovered wood for the wooden core of its laminate and timber flooring, sourced from sawmills, sustainable forest management processes, and roadside maintenance to prevent waste and promote environmental responsibility

Sustainable forest management:
In sustainable forest management, trees are harvested thoughtfully to protect the planet and biodiversity, ensuring a balance between tree cutting and replanting. Quick-Step maximises the use of thinned wood, which includes small or bent trees that may impede the growth of others but are ideal for flooring

Optimising Raw Materials:
Trees are essential in fighting climate change and supporting biodiversity, so it's crucial to handle them with care. Quick-Step reserves slow-growing species like oak for the top layers of our timber flooring. The core of our laminate and timber flooring is crafted from fast-growing tree wood or high-density fiberboard (HDF) made from recovered wood.

Green Energy Initiatives
Unilin has made significant investments in two biomass plants to transform wood dust and non-recyclable wood waste into renewable energy. This energy is first utilised for our production processes, with the surplus being shared with the public. Additionally, we harness energy from windmills and solar panels. As a result, approximately half of our group's production currently runs on renewable energy sources.
